Affordable Art Work

When we moved into our current apartment I started looking where I wanted to hang all our pictures...it was then that my husband said....I don't like any of our art work, I think we should do only black and white photography.

OK...  I didn't know where to start so I looked at some of the photographs I have taken in the past and started checking groupons for canvas deals.  I found that if you can't find any deals on groupon or living social for canvas prints the cheapest place to get them printed is Costco or Wamart!  Really!

This is one that I got a 60% off with a groupon and paid $35 with shipping.  The photo also happens to be the canvas that inspired the idea behind The Forward Home

The picture is a photo I took of the Tempe Town Lake (if you don't live in Arizona it is right by Arizona State University and looks more like a river than a lake :)

I formatted it with photo shop to make it brighter and made it black and white.  I am still working on the collage of canvases I want to put above my couch so stay tuned!

What ways have you found to make affordable art work in your Forward Home??

  3. Thanks! I will have to try that! I wanted to make some smaller ones! I thought that might be too hard to get really good if it was a big canvas but for my smaller ones I am going to try it!
